PACE 2010 Spring Agility League.

PACE is again offering a 2010 Spring Agiity League at Killarney on Thursday nights from 6:00pm - 9:00pm (including setup and breakdown). We are hoping to start mid May but until the snow melts we can not establish a starting date so check back soon for the registration form.

This year we will be running different courses from various agility associations including a pre-Regionals night, a UKI night and a CKC night, all with lots of great courses. We will be running 1 standard agility course and 1 games course; both, at the advanced/open level with teams competing for the highest cumulative score.  There will be 4 dog/handlers on a team.  Each team must comprise of 2 dogs at the masters/elite level, 1 dog at the advanced/open level and 1 dog at the starters/novice level (if possible).  Each dog will jump at the height of their handler's choice throughout the League. If a handler wishes to run more than one dog it will be placed on a different team.  The dog must be able to do all of the obstacles safely.

The rules and fault system have been designed for League Play.  The best 3 out of 4 runs will count for a team's score each week. There will be no substitutions allowed - if a member cannot come on a particular League day, a team member may run twice if needed to to make up the missing runs.

The courses, rules, forms, etc. will be posted on the PACE website allowing participants to review and practice the courses.  Practice will not be allowed on the day of the event. There will be a 5 minute walkthrough for each Standard and Games course each night. Each week the teams will rotate scribing, timing, and judgng responsibilities, which will be posted on the website.

Keep an eye on the scores each week as they wll be posted to the PACE website. The last day at Killarney will include a final run (yes, points will count for this run!!) and a wind-up event..

If you have courses you would like to run, ideas, comments or suggestions please forward them to
Donna Harrop.

Team Organization/2010
We will be drawing dogs from each category. The aim is to have each team composed of Master/Elite (1-2 dogs), Advanced/Open (1-2 dogs) and Starters/Novice (1 dog). The teams will be determined after May 1, once all entries have been received. Teams will then be posted on the website. Each team should then exchange personal information (PH #, email), come up with a name for their Team and send it to the League Coordinator.

All teams at must have "PACE" in their name somewhere.

Plan on being creative with your team mates (people and dogs included), we will be keeping a watchful eye each week to ensure you, your team and the dogs are having fun.
